Doorbars (also known as threshold strips) create a visually attractive join between rooms, or different types of flooring. They cover the gap where two floors meet in a doorway, ensuring you don’t trip and your floor edges don’t fray.

Stairrods

Stairrods add unmistakable luxury to your home. These are decorative metal rods that sit at the back of each step on a carpet runner. They provide a classic, Victorian, or high-end hotel feel. Even though the carpet is held in place by grippers, stairrods add a layer of prestige and visual weight.

Carpet Gripper

To achieve a proper stretch-fit installation, you’ll need to secure quality carpet grippers around the room. These gripper rods are constructed from durable, resin-bonded plywood and feature rows of sharp, angled pins to anchor the carpet firmly in place.

Quality Underlay

If the floor is the face, the underlay is the foundation. It’s the layer of cushioning made from foam, felt, or rubber that sits between your subfloor and your new flooring.

It provides thermal insulation, significant noise reduction (so you don’t sound like a herd of elephants), and levels out minor subfloor imperfections.

Can I transition between different floor types?

Absolutely. Whether you’re moving from your new Abfab laminate to a carpeted bedroom or a tiled bathroom, we use door bars (or thresholds). These come in various finishes to match your floor, ensuring the transition is seamless and, most importantly, not a trip hazard.

Do I need to buy matching accessories for every room?

While you don’t have to, matching your door bars and edging to your flooring creates a much more cohesive, high-end look. We can offer accessories that are specifically colour-matched to our wood and laminate ranges, so you don’t have to worry about clashing oak tones or “nearly-right” finishes.

Do I really need quality underlay, or is it just an extra cost?

Think of underlay as the unsung hero of your floor. It’s absolutely essential for all flooring including both wood and laminate. It provides a moisture barrier, reduces noise, and acts as a shock absorber. Plus, it can help level out minor subfloor imperfections, ensuring your planks don’t bounce or creak when you walk on them.

How do I hide the gaps around my radiator pipes?

There’s nothing worse than a beautiful floor ruined by a messy hole around a pipe. We provide radiator pipe roses – small, circular wood or plastic covers that clip around the base of your pipes. It’s a tiny detail that makes a massive difference to the finished look.
